Jake and Clarrissa Ann Dalrymple were married 30 Apr 1872 in Albia, Iowa and lived there for 7 years, then moved to Springfield, Nebraska. In 1885 they moved to Cambridge, Nebraska and in 1887 moved to Cornell Precinct Hitchcock Co, Nebraska Before leaving Ablia, they became parents of Elizabeth Marie, William and Fannie. Charles Henry was born in Springfield and Moses Allen Stone in Cambridge.
In 1897 Jake and his boys built a 4-room sod house, preparing the sod laying the walls and finished the home with the exception of the plastering which was hired done. The plaster material was taken from the ground not far away. This clay was used extensively for plastering sod houses and hardened like plaster. The family lived in the soddy for 13 years before replacing it with a more substantial frame house. This home is now the Raymond Frakes house, north of the north branch of the Driftwood Creek. Jake also made bricks using clay similar to that used for plastering sod houses.
Faith in S.W. Nebraska ambition and industriousness helped Jake attain success as a pioneer farmer. He and Clarrissa retired from the farm in 1917 and moved to Trenton where they spent the rest of their lives.
Jake was born 22 Feb in 1853 at Blakesburg, IA and lived there until age 16 when moved with his parents to Albia IA.
Clarrissa was born at Galesburg IL on 29 Jan 1852 As a child she and her parent moved to Albia IA.

General Notes: George W. Hinkle removed from warren County, Ohio in 1859 and settled at Brownsville, Nebraska. In 1868 he disposed of his intersts and rmoved to Beatrice, Gage County, Neb. He was a pioneer druggeist of Beatrice and grew quite wealthy as a real estae operator and owner of considerable city and farm property. He constructed a large office and store building said to be the most imposing structure in the city. He continued in the drug business being associated throught the years with C. A. Pease, C. A. Jacson, Smuel E Rigg, and Noah M. Ryan. The latter two became his sons-in-law. He was a devout Christian and member of the First Church of Beatrice for 54 years.

George married Amanda JONES on 6 Nov 1859. Amanda died on 12 Aug 1864.
